There are three major modes of transfers.

• By speedboat – when distance from Male airport is withing 90 mins
• - By Domestic flight – when distance from Male airport is quite far and domestic airport is near to your resort.
• - By Seaplane – When distance from Male airport as well as domestic airport is very far.

Most of the resorts offer both options Domestic flight and Seaplane transfers. Seaplane transfers are costlier than domestic flight but it’s an experience in itself.

You need to clearly understand the character of Maldivian holidays. Maldives is for nature, rejuvenation, relaxation and adventure seekers. Maldives offers romantic honeymoon experiences with privacy and intimacy. This island is not a place for shopaholics and party animals.

All sightseeing in Maldives is water based. You can explore various options of water sports or take various fishing cruises or visit nearby islands. IN Maldives do not expect typical sightseeing such as coach tours or walking tours etc. Maldives is also good destination to “DO Nothing” and just soak in the nature.

Please note Alcohol is not allowed to carry in the Maldives. But you get Alcohol in resorts, and now a days a greater number of the resorts have started offering All Inclusive package which includes all meals and certain alcohol brands and beers.

Weather is typically tropical in Maldives means warm and humid but max temp hardly crosses 32 degree Celsius and min temps generally do not go below 25 degrees. Rainy season starts from end of May and ends by October. Generally, September and October are wettest months, but you also get great deals in the rainy season. November onwards is considered as dry season and resort rates start skyrocketing from December onwards.

All resorts accept US dollars or Euros. Therefore, there is no need to exchange Maldivian Rufiyaa [MVR]. Most of the resort also accept credit card payments.

Male airport has sim card shops. But most of the resorts have Wi-Fi service available in main areas. Therefore, calling through data calling apps such as WhatsApp and Botim is free and convenient.

India is 30 mins ahead of Maldives. It means if it is 12.00 hrs in India, it is 11.30 hrs in Maldives.
