Samburu National Reserve is located 350 km from Nairobi. It takes approx 5-6 hrs by road to Samburu from Nairobi. Park is 165 sq km in size and the Ewaso NGiro river flows through this reserve. This is an arid region of Kenya with hot weather during the daytime and cool nights. The dru season is from May to October and one should visit this area when vegetation is lush green and therefore chances of a sighting are much more. This region is famous for Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred to as Samburu Special). You can find elephants, lions, leopards and cheetah in this reserve. This reserve is also a home of a very famous Lioness -Kamunyak that adapted the baby Oryx.

A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our Guide thereafter you will depart for Aberdare. Arrive at the Aberdare which is approx 3-4 hrs drive from Nairobi. The Aberdare Highlands is a part of the Great Rift Valley. Check-in and enjoy dinner at the lodge. Overnight stay at The Aberdare. The Aberdares National Park offers picturesque, steep forested ravines and open moorland characterise the Aberdare National Park. The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Visitors can indulge in picnics, trout fishing in the rivers and camping in the moorlands. Bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park, including the Jacksons Francolin, Sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.
After breakfast, you will depart for the Aberdare Moorlands in the Aberdare National Park. Our Driver guide will drive you through the tropical rainforests into the Bamboo Forests and high Moorlands where within minutes you will see around 3 different vegetation habitats as we climb to the roof of Kenya to almost 12000 feet above sea level experiencing some fantastic vistas in this highland park. Today we may see, Leopard, Elephant,. Hyena and Buffalo and some wonderful species of the Park. After our drive we arrive at the Aberdares Country Club for late lunch where we will enjoy a relaxed afternoon and dinner and overnight at Aberdare highland.
After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for the North through to the Samburu National Reserve arriving in time at Samburu Sopa Lodge. After a lovely lunch, you will then proceed for an afternoon game drive where we will see animals such as the reticulated giraffe, the pinstripe Gravy Zebra, the Gerenuk, the Blue Necked Somali Ostrich, Elephants, Leopards and The Black Maned Lions. Dinner and Overnight at Samburu.
Pre-breakfast game drive followed by a hearty breakfast thereafter morning at leisure to enjoy the facilities offered by the lodge. After a lovely lunch, you will depart for an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at Samburu.
Early rise followed by a hearty breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru which is located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa’s Great Rift Valley. After check-in, depart for a game drive as we visit the beautiful Park to see Lion, Rhino, the elusive Leopard, Zebra, Giraffe and of course lots of pink lesser flamingo. Lake Nakuru is famous for its huge flamingo populations due to the alkaline state of the lake. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Nakuru.
After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve. The enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migrations and its home for the big five Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Arrive in time and check-in. After a lovely lunch, we will depart for an afternoon game drive to see the game of savannah. Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara.
A relaxed rise followed by a hearty breakfast and thereafter a full day game drive with picnic lunch to see the varied game of the Masai Mara. This region is Kenyas most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Optional visit to a local Maasai village. Dinner and Overnight at Masai Mara.
After breakfast, you will depart for Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home. Your tour ends with great memories to cherish.
