Places to visit in Phuket

1] Phi Phi island is the most important excursion in Phuket. You can enjoy Phi Phi island day trip by speedboat or big boat. Speedboat is most adventurous but less comfortable way of exploring Phi Phi islands such as Phi Phi Leh, Viking caves, Maya Bay and Phi Phi Don island. If you are looking for comfortable and family fun ride explore it with big boat which is a slow speed but stable ride. You may not be able to enjoy intricate attractions such as Maya bay and Viking caves or kayaking through big boat as its size will not allow it to reach there.

2] Phuket island tour – This is generally a 3 hrs tour and takes you to Big Buddha and Khao Rang view point. Both these attractions are on top of a hill and offers great view of Chalong bay and Phuket town. You may opt to enjoy ATV bikes at these locations. While visiting Phuket town appreciate the Portuguese influence.

3] Beaches of Phuket – Patong is the most famous and crowded beach in Phuket followed by Karon beach. Patong is not only famous for its beautiful soft sandy beaches, but also for its nightlife [Soi Bangla road] and water sports such as parasailing, Jet ski, Banana boat ride etc. Please take extra care as you may get into a tourist trap while enjoying water sports or nightclubs. Patong also offers shopping streets, malls, street food lanes and all types of massage joints. Karon is relatively quiet than Patong and also have good quality resorts and restaurants.

Few other secluded beaches are Kamala beach [10kms from Patong], Surin beach [13kms from Patong], Kata beach [10 kms from Patong]. If you are looking for secluded and luxury resorts away from crowded Patong then opt for these beaches.

4] Tiger Kingdom – Here you can cuddle the tiger cubs or take photos with fully grown tigers. Famous with tourists but infamous with animal lovers.

5] Hanuman world – This is a adventure park and is famous for zipline ride, roller coaster ride, sky walk and many such rainforest based activities. Worth a visit if you are a adventure seeker.

6] Patong boxing stadium – If you are a fan of Thai kick boxing Muay Thai, then pay a visit to boxing stadium in Patong area.

7] James bond island and Phang Nga bay – This island is made famous by James Bond movie – The Man with the Golden Gun. It is known for its lime stone islets and kayaking through natural cave.
